Position Title: Summer Staff 

Reports to: Program Director

Classification: Full time - Summer Seasonal

 

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Little Galilee is in search of lifeguards, facilitators, kitchen help and more positions. The Summer Staff individual must be a dynamic, hard working individual ready to keep our campers, volunteers and staff members feeling safe, respected and loved. Our staff members will leave having learned interpersonal skills and well as have worked in a faith community that believes in teamwork. Making long-lasting friendships, discovered new talents and contributed to bringing joy and fun into the lives of children as well. Camp work is demanding, anticipate long hours, limited time off, lack of privacy, Illinois heat and thunderstorms! We play hard with our campers, and the rewards are life-changing. 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Facilitator Team Member includes a lot of demanding work that requires a high level of responsibility and trustworthiness. These general responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing daily operations of the; Zip-line; High Ropes Course; Giant Swing;  Swimming Pool; Lake; Rock Wall; Paintball and Challenge Course. Training to the highest level will be provided to ensure you are best prepared to lead and love our guests in the safest possible way.

 

The Kitchen Team Member is responsible for providing meals for campers, staff and volunteers during the summer camp program, preparing meals for special diets, cleaning & organizing kitchen and appliances and more. A Food Handeler's Training course will be provided to equip you with the best possible knowledge in the Kitchen at Little Galilee to keep you and all the guests safe. The primary function of this and every job at Little Galilee is to ensure that each member, guest, and camper receives the highest caliber of service.
